Residents and businesses in the hardest hit regions can dispose of storm and flood affected waste at Benedict Recycling Newcastle without paying the full waste levy fee until 31 August 2025.
Benedict Recycling Newcastle is playing a vital role in supporting the region’s flood recovery efforts by accepting flood affected waste. Despite not being a landfill, Benedict Recycling have stepped up to provide a flood waste solution during this emergency.

The Recycling facility has secured waste levy rate reductions for customers impacted by the recent floods and storms across NSW. This waste levy exemption, supported by the NSW Government, provides much needed assistance to communities still recovering, especially where local tips may be operating under capacity constraints due to the storms.
