Benedict SmartMix® 9 Biofiltration Filter Media (NbS)
SmartMix 9 Biofiltration (NbS) Filter Media is manufactured to comply with CRC Adoption Guidelines for Stormwater Biofiltration Systems (July 2015) and Blacktown City Council – Bioretention Specification (Feb 2022), as the filter media (top layer/ growing media). It has the essential hydraulic conductivity required for use in biofiltration basins, whilst also having the horticultural properties essential for initial plant strike and maintaining ongoing plant health.
The biofiltration profile comprises of very specific layers with the necessary characteristics to enhance hydraulic conductivity and ensure optimal bridging. Our SmartMix® Biofiltration profile comprises of three individually manufactured layers that all work together:
SmartMix®9 Biofiltration Filter Media (NbS) is sold in conjunction with Benedict SmartMix®10 Biofiltration Transition Sand (NbS) and SmartMix®11 NoFines™ Drainage Gravel (NbS).
