On the back of several successful collaborations with the Wanderers, Benedict has proudly accepted the opportunity to partner with the National A-League club with a two-year sponsorship deal.

As part of their vision for the future, the Wanderers recently opened stage one of the ‘Centre of Excellence’. Benedict are major supplier to the project with builders Houghton and Meredith Civil using over 6,000 tonnes of washed sand, drainage aggregates, road bases, garden mixes and soil improvers on the main site, as well as enviro-mulches for the surrounding amenity landscaping. This first stage of The Wanderers ‘Centre of Excellence’ features three elite training pitches, designated change rooms, physiotherapy rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, offices and media centre. Once completed, the Centre will be one of the biggest club sport facilities in Australia, with a new academy facility, community offices and six more pitches still to be built at the 11-hectare development.

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said this venue will forge the Wanderers football future.
“While Bankwest Stadium is the jewel in the crown of our football club, our Centre of Football will be the forge that moulds our future generations of male and female talent,” said Tsatsimas.

Benedict’s innovative SmartMix® Sports Turf Profile was also the professional’s choice for the recently opened BankWest Stadium at Parramatta. Home to Western Sydney Wanderers the stadium has a 30,000 seat capacity and revolutionises the visitor experience by ensuring fans are closer to the action than any other stadium in the country. As part of the NSW Governments $1.6 billion strategy to improve sporting infrastructure across the state the Stadium is a centrepiece in the vibrant, diverse and growing corridor of Western Sydney.

“We’re extremely proud to be supporting the Western Sydney Wanderers FC” said Benedict Marketing Manager Elke Dupere Rowan. “The Wanderers are a professional organisation with a clear vision, high aspirations, and a very strong bond with local community – something that we, as a family-owned and operated business really relate to.”
