An individual who tested positive for Covid-19 visited the Benedict Recycling Chipping Norton facility on Monday, July 5th.
Our Public Health Unit liaison has informed us directly of the potential ‘close contacts’ and they have been identified, tested and are isolating for 14 days.
Customers who were on site at Chipping Norton between 10:50 am – 12:00 pm on Monday 5 July, to please get tested immediately for Covid-19, and self-isolate until you return a negative result.
We understand the initial alert from NSW Health on 10 July was to get tested and isolate for 14 days, however NSW Health were quick to inform us of the amended advice to ‘casual contact’ status. Unfortunately, this was not amended on the NSW Health website until 12 July at 4:30 pm. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank NSW Health for their assistance in this matter.
Safe Operation is Our Priority
The site has undergone an extensive deep clean. Workers who have returned to site have been cleared before doing so, by testing negative. The Covid-19 Disinfection Certificate is available for reference here.
Business at Chipping Norton has returned to operation as per normal from the morning of Monday 12 July. Further safety measures have been put in place, and we are now operating as cashless at all recycling sites. For more information around this please contact your sales representative.
We would like to assure our customers of the safety on site. The additional safety measures have been put into effect so we can continue to offer the essential services our recycling facility provides to the community.
Also, take note of the following important operational safety requirements that have come into effect from Monday, 12 July. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in following these new rules.
If you are not certain which sales rep to contact about our cashless operational system, or if you were on site during the times stated above and have questions please contact Gay Willis.
Take care and stay safe.
